The Caching Olympics Challenge - SILVER
The Caching Olympics Challenge - GOLD
The Day of Hell Challenge
Just to add a little spice to the challenge, WhiteFriar and I decided that we would only count caches that we'd found together, though, to be honest, this didn't greatly increase the difficulty.
Our start was at 7:30am on Tuesday 28th August 2012 and we finished some 14 days and 12 hours later at 7:30pm on Tuesday 11th September 2012. (I suspect I could whittle a couple of hours off that if I looked closer at find times but it certainly wasn't any longer.) We cached together on five different days, 28th Aug, 4th, 7th, 8th and 11th September, during which we found 116 Traditionals, 22 Multis (the icon that gave us the most diificulty), 14 Unknowns (all on the first day), 12 Letterbox hybrids, 11 Virtuals (of which 10 were all Ye Ole Survey Monuments) and 2 Earthcaches making a grand total of 177 caches.
It would have been nice to have done the challenge using only Church Micros but, given that we've found so many already, they merely figure prominently! Here's a selection that's meets the qualification requirements:-
On 7th June 2011 WhiteFriar and I found 61 caches.
On 14th June 2011 WhiteFriar and I found 75 caches.
On 21st June 2011 WhiteFriar and I found 134 caches.
On 7th May 2013
WhiteFriar
and I found 40 caches in a couple of minutes under six hours.
This is the GSAK macro output:-
